Neverness to Everness Guide

Neverness to Everness (NTE) — Complete Beginner Guide

From your first login to endgame Abyssal Tower clears — this guide covers banner strategy, currency farming, character progression, team building, and daily routines so you never waste resources.

01 First Steps — Your First Hour in NTE

The opening tutorial in NTE takes roughly 15-20 minutes and introduces the basic combat system, parkour movement, and the core Anomaly investigation loop. Here is what you should prioritize in the first hour:

  1. Redeem all active gift codes immediately. Before spending any in-game currency, go to ntecodes.xyz, copy every active code, and redeem them after unlocking the in-game mail feature. The 7 current launch codes provide 380 Annulith, Beetle Coins, Hunter Guides, and Dye items — equivalent to hours of early grinding.
  2. Spend your beginner 10-pull. The beginner banner costs half price (500 Annulith instead of 1,000) and guarantees a 4-star character. Use this first to see what you get before committing to any limited banner.
  3. Level your main DPS first. Pick whoever deals the most damage from your early pulls and funnel all Hunter Guides into them. A level 40 carry makes the first 20-30 world levels dramatically easier.
  4. Explore before farming. The first few zones of Hethereau are packed with chests, puzzles, and Anomaly investigations that give starter resources. Clear these before burning Conduct (stamina) on domains.

💡 Pro tip: NTE's gift codes are time-limited. NTEHAVEFUN expires May 6, 2026, and the main launch codes expire May 13, 2026. Set a reminder to check for new codes — future code windows may be even shorter.

02 Complete Currency Guide — How to Earn & Spend

NTE has four primary currencies. Understanding how they interact is the key to efficient account progression.

Annulith — Premium Gacha Currency

Earning sources: Daily commissions (60 Annulith/day), Abyssal Tower resets (varies by floor, estimated 600-1,200 per reset), limited-time events (typically 300-500 per event), battle pass (Appraisal License — 800 Annulith on free track, 1,500 on premium track), exploration chests and achievements (one-time, ~2,000 total across Hethereau), and active gift codes (380 Annulith at launch). Free-to-play players can earn approximately 5,000-6,000 Annulith per month — enough for 50-60 banner pulls.

Never spend Annulith on: Standard banner pulls, weapon banner if you are saving for a specific character, Conduct (stamina) refreshes before Adventure Level 40, or shop items that can be bought with Beetle Coins.

Always spend Annulith on: Limited character event banners for characters you want, and the discounted beginner banner on day one. Once you have a solid roster, consider the weapon banner for your main DPS's signature weapon.

Beetle Coins — Shop Currency

Priority spending order: Weekly limited upgrade materials (refresh every Monday) → Character fragment bundles for characters you actively use → Domain refresh items. Avoid buying standard materials available from exploration or daily drops.

Fons — Basic Currency

Used for standard item purchases, low-tier equipment upgrades, and travel services. Generous supply from quests — rarely a bottleneck unless you are mass-upgrading low-tier gear early on.

Star Crystals — Premium Top-Up Currency

Purchased with real money. Converts 1:1 to Annulith. First-time purchase bonuses at each tier are substantial — if you plan to spend, the monthly pass ($4.99/month for 3,000 Annulith over 30 days) is the best value in the game.

03 Banner & Pity System — Exactly How Pulling Works

Character Event Banner

Hard pity: 90 pulls. Soft pity (increased 5-star rate) begins at approximately pull 75. 50/50 system: your first 5-star has a 50% chance to be the featured character. If you lose (get a standard character), your next 5-star is guaranteed to be the featured character. This guarantee carries over between event banners — if you lose the 50/50 on one banner, the next character banner you pull on will give you the featured character as your first 5-star.

Weapon Banner

Hard pity: 80 pulls. Fate point system: you can set a target weapon. If you pull a non-target 5-star weapon, you receive a Fate Point. Two Fate Points guarantee your target weapon. Fate points do not carry over between banners, so only pull on the weapon banner if you have enough Annulith to guarantee the weapon (240 pulls, approximately 24,000 Annulith).

Standard Banner

Permanent banner with a mixed pool of launch characters and weapons. Uses Standard Pull Tickets (earned through gameplay, not purchase). Has the same 90-pull pity with no 50/50 — any 5-star can drop. Do not spend Annulith on this banner.

Beginner Banner

One-time discounted banner. Your first 10-pull costs 500 Annulith instead of 1,000 and guarantees a 4-star. A great starting boost, but skip it if you are committed to rerolling for a specific 5-star on the limited banner.

Pull Strategy Summary

  • Free-to-play: Save for limited character banners only. Skip weapon banners unless your main DPS has a game-changing signature weapon.
  • Dolphin (monthly pass + battle pass): You can afford one limited character every other banner plus occasional weapon banner attempts. Prioritize characters over weapons.
  • Whale: C2 or C6 on key limited characters is where the biggest power spikes live. Weapon refinements are lower priority than character constellations.

04 Character Progression — Leveling Roadmap

NTE characters grow through five parallel systems. Here is the optimal path from level 1 to endgame-ready:

Phase 1: Level 1-40 (Day 1-2)

  • Feed all Rising Hunter Guides to your main DPS to hit level 40. Keep supports at level 20-30.
  • Ascend your main DPS once (this costs materials from world bosses — do the recommended boss 2-3 times).
  • Equip any 3-star or 4-star Echoes with ATK% main stats. Do not upgrade them past +8.
  • Complete the beginner banner pull and save everything else.

Phase 2: Level 40-60 (Week 1-2)

  • Push main DPS to 60 using Senior Hunter Guides. Bring supports to 40-50.
  • Unlock and start farming Domain challenges for 4-star Echo sets. Upgrade main DPS Echoes to +12.
  • Complete world exploration (chests, Anomaly investigations) for additional Annulith and materials.
  • Attempt Abyssal Tower floors 1-8. You should be able to clear these with one team of level 50+ characters.

Phase 3: Level 60-80+ (Week 3+)

  • Main DPS to 80, supports to 60-70. Start using Elite Hunter Guides on your primary carry.
  • Farm the highest Domain tier available for 5-star Echoes. This is the main endgame grind.
  • Build a second team of 3 characters for Abyssal Tower floors 9+. Two teams require 6 well-built characters.
  • Weekly boss runs every week for talent materials (3 drops per week, choose wisely).

💡 Resource warning: Hunter Guides are the most time-gated resource in the game. The launch gift codes include 15+ Hunter Guides of various tiers — this saves roughly 3-4 days of Conduct farming. Never skip a gift code.

05 Team Building — Roles, Reactions & Synergy

A standard NTE combat team consists of three active characters. You can swap between them freely during combat, and off-field characters contribute through passives, deployable abilities, and elemental reactions.

Core Team Roles

  • On-field DPS (Carry): Your main damage dealer who spends the most time on the field. Look for characters with high base ATK, low-cooldown normal attacks, and multi-hit skills. Typical weapon types: katanas, dual blades, gauntlets.
  • Sub-DPS / Off-field Support: Characters who contribute damage or utility without needing field time. Deployable abilities, DoT effects, or team-wide buffs. Weapon types: guns, talismans, throwing weapons.
  • Healer / Shielder: Keeps the team alive. Essential for difficult content like Domain farming and Abyssal Tower. Some healers also provide elemental application for reactions.

Elemental Reactions to Know

  • Fire + Electric → Overload: AoE explosion, good for mob clearing. Easy to trigger but can knock enemies away from melee range.
  • Ice + Water → Freeze: Crowd control. Locks enemies in place. Excellent for Abyssal Tower floors with heavy enemy pressure.
  • Wind + Any element → Spread: Applies the second element to nearby enemies. Useful for setting up chain reactions.
  • Physical + Any element → Weaken: Reduces enemy defense for a duration. Pairs well with high-damage burst rotations.

Sample Team Compositions

F2P Starter Team: Main DPS (your best early 5-star or a leveled 4-star) + Sub-DPS (off-field elemental applicator) + Healer (early-game healer). This team will carry you through most story content and Domain level 1-3.

Reaction-Focused Team: Fire DPS + Electric Support + Healer/Shielder. Relies on Overload for AoE damage. Good for exploration and event content.

Abyssal Tower Team: Ice DPS + Water Support + Healer. Freeze control lets you manage high-difficulty floors more safely. Requires coordinated cooldown management.

06 Daily & Weekly Routine — Maximize Your Time

Consistency matters more than intensity in NTE. Here is the optimal daily routine broken down by time investment:

Daily Checklist (15-20 minutes)

  1. Daily commissions (4 missions): ~8 minutes. 60 Annulith + materials. Prioritize the missions that reward Hunter Guides.
  2. Spend Conduct (stamina): ~5 minutes. Focus on character ascension materials or talent books. Save Echo domain farming for when you unlock the highest tier.
  3. Claim login rewards and mail: ~1 minute. Never let gift code rewards expire in your mailbox (30-day expiry timer).
  4. Quick expedition dispatch: ~1 minute. Send idle characters on material expeditions.
  5. Check for new gift codes: ~1 minute. Visit ntecodes.xyz to see if any new codes have been added.

Weekly Checklist (30-45 minutes additional)

  1. Weekly bosses (3 drops): ~10 minutes. Prioritize talent materials for your main DPS first, then sub-DPS, then healer.
  2. Abyssal Tower push: ~15-20 minutes. Reset every 2 weeks. Push as high as you can each reset. The first 8 floors are achievable for most players by week 2.
  3. Event content: ~10 minutes. Limited-time events usually take 5-10 minutes per day and offer significant rewards. Do not skip event currency shops.
  4. Shop refresh: ~2 minutes. Buy weekly refresh items with Beetle Coins before they reset on Monday.

07 Gift Code FAQ — Common Questions About NTE Codes

Should I redeem all codes at once or space them out?
Redeem all active codes immediately. There is no benefit to saving them — they expire on set dates, and rewards go directly to your mailbox with a 30-day claim window.

Can I lose my rewards if I don't claim them from mail?
Yes. Mailbox items have their own expiration timer (typically 30 days). Claim code rewards promptly after redemption.

Do CN server codes ever work on global?
No. CN server codes (starting with YH) are region-locked and distributed through Chinese platforms like Bilibili. They do not work on the global server, and global codes do not work on the CN server.

How many Annulith can I get from launch codes?
The 7 current global codes provide a total of 380 Annulith — nearly 4 banner pulls. Combined with first-week login bonuses and exploration, a new player can accumulate approximately 20-25 pulls in the first week without spending money.

What happens if I enter an expired code?
The game will show an "Invalid Code" or "Code Expired" message. The code is removed from the active list and moved to the expired codes section on ntecodes.xyz.
